• Al Norton: How did Raising Hope come to be for you?
  • Shannon Woodward: I came into the show a little bit late. They had already done the pilot and they decided to rework the character of Jimmy's love interest. I had read for the show originally and had never done a comedy before so I was a little bit scared and decided to pull myself out of the running. They came back and said, "if you're interested, we're still interested." I got to see the pilot they shot and it was so good and I was so flattered that they were interested that I said, "screw it, I'll figure out how to do it as I go." I did a screen test and was lucky enough that they decided to hire me and now I am just tagging on to their success train.

Dishing it Out: Our Feelings: Raising Hope’s Shannon Woodward and The Mindy Project’s Ike Barinholtz have a lot to say about feelings.

“Shannon Woodward gives us some fun teasers about the Sabrina-Jimmy wedding episode. She also shares how the twins learned the line “No, momma” that we all loved. Lastly she talks about working with Melanie Griffith and how she wishes she could be Dakota Johnson’s sister.”

“When I was 6 I had 90210 high tops and just now I did a scene with Luke Perry where he grabbed my boob so I’m satisfied.”

Playing himself – and the Ghost of Arbor Day, Luke Perry pays a visit to Sabrina when she disapproves of the way the Chance family observe the environmentally friendly holiday. Perry’s episode will air in the spring.  (x)
